Current Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, in office since August 2018. He served as Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan (2013-2015). He also served as the 16th Chief Minister of Balochistan (13 January 2018 to 7 June 2018). He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) from Constituency PB-41 (Awaran) in Pakistani general election, 2002.
