Current Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018; Served as 14th Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from 2013 to 2018. He remained the president of PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2008 to 2013; Elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan in 2013. He joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after its formation in 1996.
