Appointed as a Minister for Information and Broadcasting since August 2018 to date. He is also serving as media spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Secretary Information of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (April 2012 to March 2013). Previously, he was appointed as special Assistant for information and political affairs, and Political Affairs, in between April 2012 and March 2013. He joined PPP in 2012.
