Tariq Hussain Magsi is inducted into the cabinet of balochistan provincial assembly as a Provincial Minister of Balochistan for Communication and Works since August 2018. He remained member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from 2013 to 2018. He was designated as leader of the opposition in the Provincial Balochistan Assembly in 2012. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as an independent candidate from 2008- 2013. He was elected Member of Provincial Assembly of Balochistan while associated with Pakistan Muslim League (Q) from Constituency PB 32-Kachi III in 2002. He remained senator from 1990 to 1996. He was elected as member of National Assembly of Pakistan from Constituency NA-201 in 1988.
