Balochistan National Party is a strong proponent of Provincial autonomy and Baloch nationalism. The party advocates Provincial control over natural resources. It considers that Balochi people have been denied their due rights within the Federation. It also believes that the ‘system’ in vogue lacks accountability, and therefore needs reform.

BNP has proposed the following 6 points for addressing the current unrest in Balochistan:

1) Cease military operations in Balochistan;

2) Return of all missing persons;

3) All proxy death squads created by ISI/ MI be disbanded;

4) Political activities of Baloch nationalist parties be allowed without interference from ISI and MI;

5) Accountability of those responsible for the killings and disappearances;

6) Rehabilitation of displaced Baloch.
